Altai Alliance

In 2008, the Altai Project and more than 20 US nonprofits, individuals, and donors formed an international alliance to protect Russia’s Altai region.

The Altai Alliance includes Sacred Land Film Project (another Earth Island Institute member), Snow Leopard Conservancy, and other groups and concerned individuals.

Together, we work individually and collectively to promote and strengthen nature protection, sustainable resource use and development, and Indigenous communities in Altai. Currently the Altai Alliance comprises US-based nonprofits, scientists, and individuals. It also maintains a private listserve to share news and events and discussion.
